About the House of Music . . .
The Cordas House of Music was born 37 years ago by musicians and
for musicians. Lou & Joan Cordas felt there was a need
for a store that could understand and support the demanding needs of
musicians of all types.
Lou
Cordas is a graduate of the Juilliard School of
Music, and holds a Masters Degree and NJ Supervisor Certificate in Music Education from The College of New
Jersey. He also attended Hofstra University where he became an expert
in String Instrument design and reconstruction.
In addition to managing the House of Music, he is a former member of the
Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra, having performed with them for over three
decades.
As a retired Instrumental Music Teacher of 30 years for the Lawrenceville
School District, his love for music education continues through private
instruction, as he teaches woodwind, string, & brass instruments privately to both children and
adults of all ages.
Joan
Cordas is a graduate of the College of New
Jersey. In addition to co-managing the House of Music, Joan is
an accomplished violinist who teaches privately to aspiring professional
violinists. She currently plays 1st
Violin with the Greater Trenton Symphony Orchestra and Boheme Opera of New
Jersey, and her string quartet &
solo violin performances are in continuous demand. Joan has performed with
various musical greats including Marvin Hamlish, Liberace, Linda Ronstadt, Teddy Pendergrass,
Smokey Robinson, Frank Paterson, John Lithgow, Linda Eder, Cab Callaway, Johnny Mathis, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Open Monday through Friday from 4:00pm to 9:00pm (Evenings Only)
Open Saturday from 10:00am to 5:00pm
